Amy McCabe, the Woman Behind the Light Displays at BC Place

This week we give a huge shout-out to Amy McCabe, the Marketing and Communication Coordinator at BC Place. McCabe is in charge reviewing and approving all of the BC Place lighting requests, and it’s a busy job! Last year BC Place fulfilled 70 special requests in addition to pre-scheduled civic occasions (Canada Day, New Year’s Eve), sporting events, and gigantic concerts.

Eos Lightmedia is proud to work with McCabe to fulfill lighting requests and concepts for the inside and outside of BC Place. Revolving rainbows during Pride Week, a Union Jack to welcome Paul McCartney to Vancouver, and Canadian flags to support our athletes in PyeongChang and at the Rugby Sevens Series are just a few of the lighting schemes Eos has created for the stadium. An iPhone interface we created for McCabe and her team allows them to change lighting displays with a touch of the phone.
