Market Lane connects London’s Covent Garden and Dundas, the main downtown street.

This lane is an important connector between the historic downtown and the newer amenities, including a ‘Pike Place’ style market and the Hockey arena of the local team the London Knights.

  • Hapa Collaborative landscape architects won a national competition to re-design the lane and Eos Lightmedia worked with Hapa to design the overhead LED Light canopy and the textured pedestrian lighting. Eos then worked with the General Contractor to supply and install the LED Canopy. The LED canopy consists of 1430 individually addressable RGB LED’s for a total of 4290 channels of control.

  • Eos created 23 shows to be shown throughout the year. The main shows are graphic representations of the four seasons. The changing of the seasons alludes to both the passing of time and the growth of the natural surroundings. The Market Lane light canopy is a symbolic extension of the seasons, after the sun has set, the lane glows with a digital interpretation of the surrounding seasonal colors.
