Museum of Mississippi History
What was life like for young Choctaw children 500 years ago? What inspired Eudora Welty to write so many books? What was a day like in the life of a Civil War soldier?
The Museum of Mississippi History explores 15,000 years of history to show us how our shared past influences our future together.
Located in the heart of downtown Jackson, the Museum of Mississippi History explores over 15,000 years of state history. Throughout the galleries, visitors will explore interactive exhibits, see engaging artifacts, and hear stories from people who shaped Mississippi.
These rich and complex stories encourage people to explore and appreciate the state's history, to think about how our shared past influences our future together. Step into the museum and be transported back in time to experience the stories of Mississippians over thousands of years.
Eos Lightmedia worked closely with exhibit fabricator, 1220 Exhibits, on this project to ensure they had what they needed for integral exhibit and case lighting. Our scope of work included the supply and installation of data infrastructure and overhead exhibit lighting equipment in the gallery spaces, as well as focus and programming.
