From Broadway shows to gala awards ceremonies, Vancouver’s Queen Elizabeth Theatre is the city’s most high-profile multi-purpose arts event venue.

Since its construction in 1959, the building had experienced wear and tear, and the lighting system needed an upgrade—one that would retain its elegant, iconic feel. In 2008, the venue began a comprehensive revitalization and all public spaces —including the exterior plaza, lobbies, and auditorium—were updated to create brighter, more inviting spaces better suited to the needs and expectations of contemporary audiences.
